I think like an owner and execute like a specialist
Selling Insider is a small, hands-on practice. You hire me, and I work your account like I'm on your payroll.
Nathan Smith
I started in e-commerce in 2007 in my family's overstock and liquidation business. We had contracts with Lowe's, Target, Sam's Club and Walmart, and I learned the business from the warehouse floor up: buying, pricing, listing, shipping, and watching the margin on every unit.
I started selling on Amazon in 2012, before Brand Registry existed. Since then I've worked with more than 300 brands and over 100,000 SKUs, in just about every category on the site.
My other background is technical. I worked as a technical project manager and sysadmin, and as a software development manager I wrote specs, ran an offshore dev team, and shipped software used by 2,800 Lowe's stores and 1,500 certified installers. That's why I build my own tools when the standard software can't answer a question, and why flat files, data feeds and integrations don't scare me.
Put those together and you get someone who reads a P&L like an owner and can still fix a broken variation at 10 pm.
How I work
You hear about problems from me first
If something breaks, you get a note with what happened, what it cost, and what I'm doing about it. Usually before you'd have noticed.
Numbers before opinions
Every recommendation comes with the data behind it, so you can check my math instead of taking my word for it.
Root cause, not symptoms
When conversion drops, I check price, images, competitors and variations to find the actual cause before I change anything.
Profit over vanity sales
Growth that loses money isn't growth. Bids, promotions and pricing are set against your actual margins.
Plain-English updates
Every week you get a short written update: what changed, why, and what's next. No dashboard dumps.
One person, fully accountable
I'm available daily and I'm in the account daily. No handoffs, no layers, nobody to blame but me.
